Diono eCommerce Website
Diono came to us needing an improved site to show how well the products worked - in functionality, safety, and aesthetic. Diono’s products are a combination of innovation in terms of how their products work, as well as how seriously they take children’s safety, so the website needed to highlight both. The final design strikes a balance between fun and safety while maintaining a serious tone by bringing in human touch and highlighting the care put into developing and creating their products.
The backend of the site was just as important as nailing the aesthetic of the website. When deciding on eCommerce engines, based on the robust needs and the benefits of a Saas platform, we recommended a build on BigCommerce, with FusionCMS to manage non-eCommerce content.
Through FusionCMS we were able to create a beautiful custom design, along with building a strong base of organic SEO.
On BigCommerce, we were able to do a number of different eCommerce customizations to make sure the shopping experience would fit exactly to Diono’s needs.
-
Swatch image customizations
-
Faceted search via custom fields
-
Image galleries switch out when swatch color is selected
-
Multiple payment options for all types of customers and devices

Kinona eCommerce
eCommerce Website Design and Development for New Ladies Golfwear Brand
KINONA founders Tami and Dianne started their business out of frustration with the women’s golf apparel industry—they didn’t see a reason why women’s golf wear had to be consistently unflattering and unstylish. They were tired of the basic polo/bermuda short uniform and struck out to do something about it.
They came to us in late 2017 looking for an ecommerce website that could launch their first ever line of attractive, funky, form-flattering women’s golf clothing. We were stoked to be a part of this project.

Cordova eCommerce Website
Cordova Outdoors wanted a new website in order to increase revenue. They were especially focused on creating a better user experience for their website visitors. Their previous website lacked the ability to tell their brand story and differentiate them from their competitors.
We outlined the below goals for the website redesign:
- Improve the user experience of their website so that it’s easier for guest to make purchases
- Tell the Cordova story through design and copy on the site
- Differentiate Cordova Outdoors from their competitors
For the Cordova Outdoors website, we used a combination of Fusion and BigCommerce. Fusion allows the client to easily update the content in their website to keep it fresh and seasonal, while BigCommerce allows the client to easily manage their products.

Christensen O'Connor Johnson Kindness PLLC
Website Design and Development for Established Seattle Intellectual Property Law Firm
With over 88 years of experience in the intellectual property legal sphere, the lawyers at COJK have earned a solid reputation for excellent work. They approached us looking for a sophisticated website that could properly showcase the depth of their expertise and company history.
One goal of the homepage design was to immediately convey a sense of “innovation” to viewers—after all, innovation is one of the COJK team’s primary values. We opted for full-panel scrolling on the homepage which allowed us to deliver blocks of information to viewers in a modern, memorable way.
Our designers pulled in the pear green from the logo to act as an accent color throughout the site. This hue is offset beautifully with the professional gray tones used as background and link colors.
The Practice Areas homepage panel features attractive iconography that highlights the company’s specialties, while the Practice Areas overview page keeps things simple and highly navigable. Practice Area detail pages are intuitvely laid out and link off to relevant attorney detail pages.
Bold blocks of white space are used in the main navigation menu and throughout the site as content block backgrounds—this judicious use of white space makes text areas attractive, modern, and easy to read.

3 Howls Distillery
Local Feel, National Presence
Clean lines, a black-and-gold palette, and easy navigation make for a website you can really sink your teeth into.
Located in Seattle’s industrial SoDo neighborhood, the team at 3 Howls takes pride in staying true to their local roots as they expand nationwide. When they came to us looking for a website redesign, founder Will Maschmeier expressed the need to strike a balance between the local and national, leveraging the distillery’s unique Pacific Northwest roots while also appealing to a much larger audience.
In addition to dually communicating the distillery’s local feel and national presence, our design team prioritized showcasing the character of the product, the bottles, and the 3 Howls team. 3 Howls' new site design features a dark palette with gold accents to match the sleek and edgy feeling of the brand. The matte colors and abstract strokes give the site an arcane vibe that expertly avoids coming off as “too Halloween,” all while reflecting the sophistication of the brand.

Alaska Zipline came to us with some beautiful imagery featuring Alaska’s landscape. Our designers were able to create a layout that utilized this imagery to characterize the brand and lead the visitor to the booking system. This website was built with our custom content management system that allows modules to be customized for whatever needs may be there. The Alaska Zipline site used the Service Fusion Module to display and explain the different packages that they offer as well as the ability to book right through the website. Our custom module allows for ease of use for both the visitor and Alaska Zipline. They are also able to maintain a blog, send out newsletters, and display their testimonials through their website.

Taylor Shellfish Restaurant & eCommerce Website
eCommerce Website for a Premiere Seattle Shellfish Company
Taylor Shellfish Farms began generations ago with the current owner’s great great-grandfather discovering potential for quality shellfish to be cultivated in the Puget Sound. Today, the Taylor family remains committed to sourcing and selling quality seafood and are equally committed to their community, their employees, and the environment in which they work. Just as this business was passed down to them, they want to maintain the quality of the water and their work environment so the legacy can continue.
As a long-time client, Taylor Shellfish returned to efelle in 2017 with the goal of improving their website’s ecommerce experience. We decided to take our award-winning design for their site and upgrade their ecommerce platform to BigCommerce.
An efelle favorite, the TSF website opens on a calming masthead video that generates the feeling of floating serenely through the Puget Sound. Scrolling down, users immediately discover a “Shop Now” call to action followed by an invitation to “Come Visit Us.” Together, these calls to action meet the client’s objectives of marketing not only their online store, but their physical locations, as well. The Taylor Shellfish-run markets and oyster bars are, after all, staples in the Seattle culinary scene...

Kasala Furniture eCommerce Website
eCommerce Website Design & Development for Modern Home Furnishings Company
Kasala, a home furnishings company based out the Pacific Northwest, is brand new to the world of ecommerce. We were brought on board to design and develop online stores for both their main brand as well as their Outlet. In essence, we replicated each main site design and development item mentioned below for the Outlet, making some tweaks to the layout, font selection, and color story as needed. We also created spaces for Outlet-specific content, including its own dedicated blog and locations areas.
One of Kasala’s primary directives for our team when we first sat down with them was to not only design and develop their online stores, but to also help them showcase their brick-and-mortar locations—after all, they may have taken some of their operations digital but they continue to take pride in serving customers as well offline as they do online.
We were happy to accommodate this aim. By pairing the industry-leading ecommerce functionality of BigCommerce with the flexibility of our own content management system, FusionCMS, we were able to build the Kasala team a website that puts their products front and center while also making it easy for visitors to learn more about how to check out the goods in person.

BNBuilders Construction
Leading Construction Company Website Design and Development
Founded in Seattle in 2000 by two construction industry veterans, the team at BNBuilders have completed projects for companies in a wide range of industries—biotech, healthcare, education, and more. BNBuilders work creative problem solving and sustainable construction practices into every project and are considered one of the West Coast's preferred contractors.
BNBuilders reached out to our team looking for a website equal to the quality of work in their own portfolio and we were happy to deliver.
Website Design Inspiration
To highlight BNBuilders’ roots and dominant presence in the PNW, our team's design opens on a full-screen homepage masthead image of downtown Seattle with a BNBuilders branded crane standing tall above the scene. Other masthead images throughout the site emphasize company culture shots and team photos—these not only grab the eye, they also convey the professionalism of the company and its entrepreneurial spirit.
The logo’s rich red functions as the primary accent color throughout the site and is used as a hover filter for imagery as well as to underscore calls to action. This helps create a sense of brand consistency when moving from page to page in addition to adding visual interest.

Cool Hand Gear eCommerce Site
eCommerce Website Design and Development for Functional and Affordable Carry Gear
Before Cool Hand Gear approached us about designing and developing an ecommerce website for their team, they operated primarily in the B2B space as a supplier of well-priced “unique, stylish, and functional everyday carry gear” to a variety of companies. Through our partnership, they now have an edgy, on-brand ecommerce website that allows them to extend their operations into the B2C sphere.
As a company that’s been in the business for over two decades, it was important to carry the weight of CHG’s established brand into their new ecommerce venture.
Built on our own proprietary content management system, FusionCMS, our homepage design almost jumps off the page; using dark, full-width, high-resolution imagery as a masthead area backdrop, our design immediately establishes a foundation for communicating what Cool Hand Gear is all about. A sans-serif structured font gives the website a clean, industrial feel and pops off the page. By incorporating large font sizes and orange and red accent text colors throughout the site, we allow the copy to act as a highly informative sidekick to the scene-stealing product photos.
Eye-grabbing scroll animations are used throughout the website, infusing the design with a cutting-edge vibe that’s impossible to ignore. Animated hover effects and bursts of red punctuate call-to-action spaces, helping the CHG team convert users by enticing them to shop their products.

Web Design & Development for Trucking Business
“I’m happy with the speed of their progress.”
the reviewer
the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the IT manager at a trucking company.
What challenge were you trying to address with efelle creative?
We didn’t have a good website; it was old. As a result, we hired effelle to build a better one for us.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Since our old website wasn’t in a condition that could be refurbished, efelle had to redevelop the site from scratch. I wanted the site to play a video when opened by a user. It should also be easy to navigate. The goal was to help website visitors know more about our company.
The efelle team used Adobe Illustrator to create working mockups. Then, they showed us how the website’s flow would work, teaching us about FusionCMS, which we could use to keep updates going without having to go through the team for everything. We also provided our own input in a lot of aspects, such as the colors and structure of the website. They took our input and worked with us to apply them to the website.
At present, efelle is hosting our website. They also do maintenance work for us.
What is the team composition?
We work with 4–6 people from efelle, including a designer and a project manager. Someone from their team also does photography, while another one serves as the copywriter. Our main point of contact is Marc (E-Commerce Specialist).
How did you come to work with efelle creactive?
We looked around for media and website design firms. It was important for us to hire a team that lived in our state; they should be local so that we could interact with them — we support local companies as much as we can. With that in mind, we hired efelle.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent around $25,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in June 2018, and the engagement is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
I’m proud of how the website looks now. We constantly receive compliments for it. In fact, our customers have told us that seeing the website has convinced them to do business with us.
How did efelle creative perform from a project management standpoint?
Their project management is great. The efelle team follows up with us and keeps us on our toes. When we let a deadline slip, they remain patient. Overall, I’m happy with the speed of their progress. To communicate, we typically use Google Spreadsheets. Its multi-user editing functionality is great because the team can easily see our comments.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They turn our ideas into reality.
For instance, when they asked me for ideas about how we wanted a sub-selector webpage to work, I said that I wanted it to work in a similar way to the shift knob of a manual transmission car. I floated that idea and showed it to them, and they turned it into reality. I was completely happy with that.
Are there any areas they could improve?
They can improve by sharing how each piece of the project fits together. Sometimes, we lose track of the project. If they can tell us more about what they’re doing and their expected results, that will be great.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Have a defined idea of what you want to see in the project. Then, tell efelle all of your ideas and they’ll turn them into reality. If plenty of edits occurs because of various people’s inputs, then the project will slow down. Such edits can drag everything down. Meanwhile, if you have well-defined ideas, you’ll have the best results.

We're thrilled to have found Efelle and already see great potential of our new site. We're still a few weeks away from going "live"! We also hired Efelle to manage our Google ads. The attention to detail and monthly reporting has helped us make adjustments to our marketing campaigns that exceed our expectations!
How did you select this vendor?
We found this company online and got a quick synopsis of what they provide. Upon reaching out for a consult, we met in their office and was impressed with the "team" we were assigned. How awesome to have so many talented people working on our site and giving us incite.
Describe the scope of their work in detail.
After the initial meeting and assigning of team members, we carefully, together, constructed a game plan of what we wanted our site to look like, how we were going to get there and what response we wanted our clients to have. We also had them manage our Google Ads with monthly reporting.

What did you find most impressive about this company?
We actually were initially impressed with their offices! You know you're working with designers, which is what we wanted, when their offices are not a boring cubicle! Lots of fun is represented just in their office. Sitting down with the team and hearing them brainstorm was great! We truly appreciate their attention to detail and their thorough communication through the whole process.
Is there any area for improvement or anything that could have been done differently?
We're very pleased with Efelle and don't know of anything that could be improved upon!

Website Development & Design for Fishing Charter
"Their understanding of the latest and greatest stands out to us."
the reviewer
the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
We are a charter fishing lodge and charter out of Sitka, Alaska. We operate yearly, from early May to mid-September, which is our fishing season. I manage several things, including employee management and land logistics. During the offseason, we reside in the state of Washington.
What challenge were you trying to address with efelle creative?
We were looking to revamp our existing website that had launched approximately five years ago. The goal was to brighten the site up and make a bit more impact out there with younger people.
What was the scope of their involvement?
efelle creative started from scratch. We described what we offer and then worked with their design team on the UI/UX. The most important part of the site was they information about our services. In our industry, a three-day package often means that half of one of the days is spent traveling. For our three-day offering, however, we offer three full days of fishing and one full travel day on either side of those three, meaning the whole package is actually five days long. This difference had to be made clear. It’s the same with our four-day package; it’s actually six days long. We named the three-day package the “action” package and the four-day experience the “extreme package.”
The WordPress site has a “contact us” feature on every page to make it as easy as possible for people to connect with us. The site is finished, and we’re still engaged with efelle for monthly maintenance.
What is the team composition?
At times, we’ve had up to five resources, especially during development. Most of our communication one-on-one with Catherine (Account Manager). She was phenomenal. If she thought we needed to engaged with others, she set it up.
How did you come to work with efelle creative?
Our owner liked their previous sites and reached out to them.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent over $25,000 so far.
What is the status of this engagement?
We’ve been working together since December 2018.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Repeat clientele make up about 80% of our business, and we’ve had several people tell us they really like website. This translates to more people asking questions and reaching out via the email feature on the site. Either that, or they call us. There’s still more we can do together, like SEO, but they’ve absolutely exceeded expectations thus far.
How did efelle creative perform from a project management standpoint?
COVID messed up our schedule, but they’ve been more than gracious with us — working and putting things aside for a certain amount of time when we need. They’re always ready and wanting to move forward, however.
We use a number of tools to communicate, including Basecamp, which is very effective in getting the word out to everybody. Email and Zoom also support us.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Their understanding of the latest and greatest stands out to us. They keep up with what technologies will work for us and guide us down the best avenue.
Are there any areas they could improve?
Knowing what our business does has presented a learning curve for efelle, as we kind of unique. They didn’t quite grasp the difference between sport, commercial, and other types of fishing initially.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
They are great to work with and have a lot of knowledge, so if you know what you want going in, then they’ll be easy to work with.

Web Development & Design for Fitness Supplements Company
“The efelle creative team’s project management was terrific.”

the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
My wife and I are the owners of Centauri Fitness, a provider of fitness supplements.
What challenge were you trying to address with efelle creative?
We didn’t have time to build a website by ourselves, so we needed a team we could utilize for that goal.
What was the scope of their involvement?
To help efelle creative develop our website, we provided them with our company name and goals. They also looked into our competitors to determine what could set us apart from other businesses like ours. The team then incorporated that information into the website.
In terms of features, we had a straightforward requirement, which was for the website to serve as a portal that end users could use to order our products. The website also had to provide detailed information about the products, along with the best ways to purchase them.
Simply put, the efelle creative team had to build a simple website that raised our brand awareness, created hype, and provided people with a way to directly order from our company.
What is the team composition?
Our initial point of contact was Christian (Digital Strategist). Once we moved forward with the engagement, we were assigned a team of 8–10 people. Each of them had expertise based on what we needed for the website.
Moreover, we were in contact with a handful of their resources throughout the process. If we had feedback on their outputs and wanted to change something, we could talk to the teammate who did it. That way, their work could be more in line with our expectations.
How did you come to work with efelle creative?
I discovered efelle creative through Google search. They were the first company that appeared in the results, which was an important indicator of their expertise. The SEO technique they were using was working, and that led credence to what they were offering.
Then, I submitted a contact request form on their website, and they set up an appointment with me. We explored the types of services they offered and whether or not we’d be interested in them. Then, they put together a proposal based on our conversations. They laid out their plans for us, the costs, and the next steps for the engagement.
Their presentation came with an in-depth analysis. Overall, with what little information we provided them and despite not knowing what we truly wanted, they managed to put together an impressive proposal. As a result, we hired them.
How much have you invested with them?
We spent around $12,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
Our engagement with efelle creative lasted from December 2020–June 2021.
To clarify, we don’t have an ongoing relationship with them since the website is complete, and we only work with them if we need support services for the website.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We received feedback from family, friends, and customers who viewed the website — they were thoroughly impressed with how professional it looked. They praised its clean design, too.
For specific results, our single-serve, pre-workout supplement ranked third in search results even though the website was brand new and had minimal traffic. That was great for us since we spent no advertising dollars on it. We were impressed with this result.
How did efelle creative perform from a project management standpoint?
The efelle creative team’s project management was terrific; they were with us every step of the way. We had a couple of back-and-forth meetings, and they were highly responsive whenever I emailed them. Katherine (Account Manager) facilitated our meetings and took questions she couldn’t answer to their subject matter experts.
Moreover, the team accommodated our schedules, which was great because we had time zone differences. In fact, our team once missed one of our appointments, but they were truly understanding.
What did you find most impressive about them?
We were able to see efelle creative on the first page of search results. For comparison, other companies claimed that they were experts in SEO, but we weren’t able to pull them up on the first search results. This was impressive because we looked to their team to help us create exposure for our business.
Are there any areas they could improve?
Their support services costs around $100 per month, which is a little higher for a company that’s only starting out. To be fair, their customer service is good, which is paramount to any transaction.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
When you’re talking to efelle creative during the onboarding process, be upfront with your expectations. They’re not going to sell your products for you; they’re only going to facilitate that process. As a result, the clearer you are on your expectations of what you want, the easier it is for them to help you. Ultimately, communication is paramount to the process and will help reduce the chances of dissatisfaction.

Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the managing partner of Rupert Rodney. We’re management consultants that focus on driving the maximum income for our clients by looking at the impact they create.
What challenge were you trying to address with efelle creative?
Our metrics for success aren’t just tied to the financial performance of our company and clients but also the depth and altitude they create for society and the communities they live in. Most website developers are familiar with putting together websites without quantitative KPIs — they just know conversion rates, abandoned carts, and so on.
We needed a company that understood that there was more to how we operate than the financial result. However, we still expected an improved outcome due to the qualitative way we operate. In summary, it was a unique challenge for any website firm because they needed to understand the ethos of our company and translate it into a product.
What was the scope of their involvement?
We work with efelle creative with a collaborative approach. They can create wonderful outcomes for clients, but they’re also willing to work as a team if it doesn’t compromise the final product. In our case, we’ve supported the UX/UI process.
One of the key technologies they’ve developed is a CMS called Fusion. Many content management solutions were available, but they built it because they couldn’t find one that met their requirements. The CMS allows to create new pages and assets for the website and update content, but not in a template way. Also, it’s strong enough not to break up if a novice is using it — the design doesn’t get messed up.
In summary, we have complete control over the current pages, and we can make them beautiful without feeling it’s just a cut-and-copy. It’s a wonderful system, and we use it for our clients and ourselves — it’s a major part of our business.
What is the team composition?
We’ve had 5–10 people involved at different stages for this project. First, we had a project manager, a designer, and the CEO onboard us and start the project. Then, we had an entire team of coders for the coding process, and we’ve had a single point of contact throughout everything. Also, we have access to anyone on the team — we can just call them and get someone right away.
How did you come to work with efelle creative?
We were searching tirelessly to find a website development partner who was large and sophisticated enough to have all the workflows we needed to ensure quality but also intimate enough to understand the unique way we do business. We went to sites like Clutch to find customer reviews to find a qualitative and quantitative mix without compromising quality.
Since we were looking for a long-term partner, we interviewed directly with Fred (Agency Founder & CEO). Later on, we discovered that he had personally supported something important to us, but he didn’t try to get the credit for it. That, coupled with our first experience with them, led to a solid relationship with efelle creative.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent between $50,000–$100,000, including all our clients.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in October 2017, and our engagement is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We can’t share metrics because our clients are under strict NDAs. However, they’ve clearly experienced between 200%–500% improvement in their ROI.
How did efelle creative perform from a project management standpoint?
They’re a great team — they’re warm and professional. I’m familiar with the website design processes; I’ve been part of over 100 projects in the last 30 years, and it’s just wonderful to work with efelle creative.
They use Basecamp, so we can communicate through the project board or email, which also gets posted on the board. However, we’ve directly messaged and called the designers many times. They’re available and organized.
Also, we like Basecamp because it’s fast — everything uploads well, and we can even edit. Overall, efelle creative is a professional organization, and it doesn’t matter how we communicate with them because they’re very prompt in getting back at us.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Their strength and flexibility are outstanding. With many creative firms, it’s hard to pin down what they’ll deliver. On the other hand, firms that are less flexible or creative can be more reliable — as long as we want it their way, we’ll get a result. However, we think that web design is art; it’s a presentation of the ethos and values of our company.
Therefore, we wanted someone with solid designers and creatives to understand the unique pathos of our company. They also had to be solid businesspeople to understand KPIs and metrics, how to drive them, measure them, and present the analytics to make business decisions. All in all, efelle creative has both, which is very rare to find. Moreover, they’re affordable because the ROI is very encouraging right from the start.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I don’t know what they could do better because I’ve never seen anyone do it better. Their ability to translate our words and desires into a first proof captures all of that.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
You should know the business goals and the feeling or emotions that you want to achieve. The beauty of working with efelle creative is that they have a lot of experience, so you should allow them to guide you.

Web Development for Furniture Company
"It felt like we were their only customer. They gave us the individualized attention everyone wants."

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
We’re a B2B furniture manufacturer that sells office furniture. I’m our senior marketing director and have been with the company for over 20 years.
What challenge were you trying to address with efelle creative?
We were looking for a long-term digital agency with full-stack capabilities that would be able to handle any request we had, including robust design and backend requirements.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Right off the top, we were looking to develop a parent website — a very large website on the order of 40–50 pages that would have links to our career options and backlinks to other locations. There had to be custom capabilities around a product configurator we had, as well as an easy-to-use CMS that we could interact with after the fact.
Additionally, we wanted to up our game in terms of delivering a strong visual narrative and rich, video-based imagery. Heat-mapping was also one of our asks, in addition to roll-over effects, and mobile responsive design. They also created a smaller website that was specific to one of our internal divisions.
Technologies used include their proprietary CMS. Every year or two they release a new version, iterating it into a better version. The coding work was done in standard HTML, JavaScript, CSS, and perhaps some PHP.
To begin, we created a detailed design brief and went through an extensive design phase. We were more involved than the usual client because we knew we needed to own and enjoy the end product. Therefore, our process was to collaborate very tightly with efelle creative’s in-house designers. We spent extra time in this phase to get it all right.
Adobe XD allowed us to test the designs and get a sense of the interactions between the different components. We could also test linking and comment on the functionality of designs. Our in-house team worked back and forth with them on approvals and modifications.
Beyond development, efelle creative hosts both our sites and has done targeted copywriting and SEO, which involves rewriting large portions of our content with targeted keywords in mind. They also provided many SEO options that we chose not to use, walking us through an entire game plan including keyword research and an industry study. We’re still considering whether to leverage this option or handle SEO internally.
What is the team composition?
The extent of the team through various phases was around 7–8 individuals. We consulted with Fred (CEO) in the evaluation phase, and after that, we worked with an account manager and account team, which was comprised of about three individuals: a copywriter and two designers. In the development phase, we worked with our account manager and two developers.
Catherine (Account Manager) has been our main point of contact throughout.
How did you come to work with efelle creative?
One of our criteria in choosing efelle creative was to bring hosting and maintenance and development under one roof. They offered just that, and we took them up on it.
We shortlisted top web development agencies in the Seattle, Portland, and Northern California areas, and, because this was pre-COVID conducted many site visits.
How much have you invested with them?
We spent around $175,000 with them.
What is the status of this engagement?
We worked together from October 2019–February 2021.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
efelle was very competitively priced for what they were offering. One specific example occurred during development when we decided to add a 3D product configurator to the scope. We’d developed features like this before and knew it would be pricey, but we were blown away by efelle’s quote, and the reason they could offer such a price was the quality of their proprietary CMS. It provides such a capable foundation that we can grow the site without breaking the bank.
The CMS is so easy to use that in the one year since the site went live, we’ve been able to handle 95% of all the required maintenance ourselves. efelle creative made sure to provide strong documentation and training on how to use the CMS, which we greatly appreciated. They even went so far as to walk us through it so we could take maximum advantage and own our site.
How did efelle creative perform from a project management standpoint?
Their procedures and processes were built on web-based best practices and their internal team’s extensive experience. Right away, they set us up in Basecamp, which allowed us to communicate, upload media, and review design references. Aside from that, we communicated over conference calls and in-person visits.
Working with two project managers — a supervisor and a manager underneath them — allowed efelle creative to be very responsive. It felt like we were their only customer. They gave us the individualized attention everyone wants.
What did you find most impressive about them?
We were relying on them as our partner to help guide us with website best practices, as they aren’t a core competency of our in-house team, as we’re a furniture manufacturer., so we relied on efelle to build a great website.
The pieces that were the most helpful were their insights and point of view, gained from experience. Rather than reinventing the wheel, they coached us away from things that wouldn’t serve us and toward better alternatives.
Are there any areas they could improve?
The project kicked off four months before the pandemic hit, so there were growing pains surrounding both of our companies moving to a completely dispersed workforce. efelle also experienced some turnover in their developers, so progress was slow for a bit, but I give them a pass because the same thing was happening to every company in the world at that point.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
The best advice is that they’re a capable and experienced team, but don’t let that stop you from owning the product. efelle is willing to work with you and deliver the exact solution you want. They want you to see them and work with them as a partner, and not just a vendor.

Website Development & Design for Construction Company

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the president and CEO of MRJ Constructors.
What challenge were you trying to address with efelle creative?
We needed website development services.
What was the scope of their involvement?
First, we had a kickoff meeting to go through our goals. They’d provided a list of questions ahead of time and we shared our answers. Then, efelle creative the phases of website development, including going through our approval process. After they provided the structure of the site, we shared and uploaded our information together.
The whole process started from scratch. We looked at focus areas to base the website on. efelle creative then expanded on each of these bullet points.
Design was a small part of their portfolio as well. We provided came from us but they inserted those in the shell they built. For the overall design, we provided requests and they allowed us to choose from a series of options.
Currently, their team provides maintenance for us and cloud hosting.
What is the team composition?
We worked with 4–5 people: a project manager, a programmer a creative resource, and more.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent around $20,000–$30,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We’ve been working together since May 2019. The development took around six months, and now they’re providing maintenance and hosting.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Everyone is pretty complimentary about how the site looks and is set up. In terms of metrics, we don’t get work from our website; its purpose is to show our potential clients what work we do.
One great aspect is that the site allows us to organize and sort our projects. People who want to build a car dealership aren’t going to look at a self-storage facility we built.
Overall, efelle creative met or exceeded all our expectations.
How did efelle creative perform from a project management standpoint?
It was all good. If we were behind, it was because we weren’t quick enough in making a decision. They adhered to the schedule and did a good job. The way they’re structured, they’ve had a lot of changes in their project management, which made it difficult to figure out who to talk to next.
We communicated mostly over Zoom meetings. efelle had a program set up where we could review their work and provide additional information. This way we didn’t have to call them up every time, which improves coordination and prevents tasks from being dropped.
What did you find most impressive about them?
efelle creative is extremely original. Their experience working with other construction companies also stands out.
Are there any areas they could improve?
Have one project manager who’s involved from start to finish. Additionally, having more verbal communication over the phone would provide more personality than solely conversing through a program does.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Put some thought into what you want to accomplish because that’s the first question they’re going to ask. They truly use that information to develop your site.
I don’t have any other specific advice, as they did a great job.

"Efelle was a terrific project partner at every stage of development, design, and technical delivery."

Please describe your company and your position there.
I'm the marketing director for a mid-size regional architecture firm that serves Washington and Oregon states.
For what projects/services did your company hire efelle creative, and what were your goals?
We hired efelle creative to design and create our firm's new website.
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
We researched service providers on a national basis and identified six firms to whom we sent an invitation to propose on this project. We received two proposals from out-of-area firms and three from local firms, and conducted an in-person interview meeting with the top two proposing firms, of which efelle creative was one.
Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.
We had an initial meeting with efelle's team to discuss our vision for the website and what we felt it should include. Their team, comprised of our assigned project manager and designers met with our in-house project committee virtually to present initial site design and architecture concepts. Based on feedback received, they presented a refined design reflecting our input, and upon approval, moved forward with the site build.
How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
On the front end, we coordinated with efelle's marketing director, and then project manager, two designers, a technical training coordinator who walked us through the process for compiling content, and another technical coordinator who gave us a virtual tutorial of the site's content management system.
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
We've only had the new site up for one week, so have no measurable results. That said, staff and industry colleague response to the new look and functionality has been uniformly positive.
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.
Efelle was a terrific project partner at every stage of development, design, and technical delivery. Our project manager was a fantastic communicator who kept us apprised of progress during the build and gave us advance notice for horizon milestones and needs.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
Every person with whom we worked at efelle, including administrative, technical, design and project management was friendly, professional, exceptionally competent and obviously committed to delivering great customer service and a positive client experience.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
No. Even in addressing the minor post-launch issues, the efelle team maintained responsiveness and follow-through, and we can tell that we'll be able to count on them moving forward if anything we can't address on our own should ever present.

Please describe your company and your position there.
I'm the Marketing Manager for CK Worldwide the leading manufacturer of TIG welding torches and accessories in the world. My day to day tasks involve communicating and developing a cohesive brand identity and image that matches our business philosophy, while promoting engaging content that is relevant to our industry.
For what projects/services did your company hire efelle creative, and what were your goals?
We hired Efelle Creative to take over the redesign of our webpage, which had not been done for over 15 years. Though there had been updates to the site in the past 5 years, the platform used was becoming archaic and not user friendly. Looking to update the look, feel, as well as responsiveness of the site we interviewed few different companies to finally land with Efelle. We really wanted something that would take the industry by storm and provide an aesthetic that was pleasing, yet highly functional.
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
We selected Efelle based upon reviews, pricing, and overall attitude of the key managers and individuals involved in the process. From day one we were treated as a valuable asset with extreme focus on our desires as a company and as a customer. The overall experience started off on a great note with quick communication and follow-up concerning our needs.
Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.
This project started with a kick-off meeting to discuss goals, and look at various websites that we liked that may contain a similar framework to what we were considering. Moving forward with a chosen design we were then shown a design mock-up of what the site should look and function like while working on providing the actual sitemap of how things will be organized.
From there we continued to provide image, text, and other data to start populating the site. After the majority of that was complete the site was ready to use on the backend where we started to tweak certain aspects and continue to enter data. This lengthy process eventually came to fruition and we launched a little over a year later.
How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
The first contact and fantastic individual we met with was Jason Shindler, Digital Strategist, whom helped to define our goals. He helped intermittently along the way and even provided SEO assistance and quotation to help further our project down the tracks. Sara Feldman, Project Manager, helped coordinate the presentation and kickoff of the project when we did our on-site visit eventually passing off to Miranda Towler, Account Manager, to run the show.
Miranda really helped with everything and anything under the sun to help us meet our requirements in a quick and timely fashion. She provided great assistance and was very willing to always figure out an issue no matter how difficult, and no matter how long it took us to get her an answer.
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
Customers, partners, and employees truly love the new look and feel to the site. It provides an easy to use format, while also being aesthetically pleasing. We have yet to see a huge increase in traffic, but are working to include other elements into our marketing plan that should engage people onto the site further.
Overall the site matches the rest of our branding elements now with a strong platform to move forward with in the next few years while being able to add new elements such as videos and blog posts to help drive up engagement.
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.
Communication about all aspects of the project were facilitated using Basecamp, phone calls, and video meetings. There was never a gap in communication and all items were addressed in a very timely and consistent manner.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
Efelle provides a quality customer service experience from the start to finish. What was unique was that every little thing that needed to be done to keep us on track was generally complete within a weeks time or less. Most of the time their team was waiting on us, rather than the other way around. Nothing makes creating a new site easier than consistent, quality communication and willingness to see our perspective on what needed to be done. There were very few added costs for the amount of changes we implemented during the building process.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
Honestly I think the Efelle team did a stand-up job and I would gladly recommend, or work with them on another project again.
The company is happy about the website; end users have also given positive feedback to the redeveloped site. efelle creative’s project management is also highly commended. They work fast and stay on top of everything. Overall, the team is instrumental in turning the firm’s ideas into reality.
