Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the CEO of TMG Physician Services. We’re a healthcare consulting and billing company. Basically, we keep doctors compliant with all the federal and state regulations they’re subject to in their coding and billing practices. We collect their money from insurance companies and patients.

What challenge were you trying to address with Purple Tie Guys?

I’ve known them since 2002. They started out as an IT and technology management. As they’ve grown, so have we. They helped me transition several clients from all paper to electronic practices. We’ve brown together, and I’ve used them in their current capacity to prepare an internet marketing plan for me to manage our website.

What was the scope of their involvement?

I’m not great on the creative side, but I write articles and things on different subjects that are of interest to medical practices, but they edit them and find a way to utilize them in marketing programs. They also manage our website.

Right now, because of me, it’s in the process of being updated. With a lot of moves and transitions and changes, we’re completely revamping the site. It will be more up to date appropriate for our current marketing plan.

They’re great at developing content and presenting it. In a number of instances, I’ve just sat and talked with them about something I had no idea how to communicate on our website in a way that increases business. I give them a lot of information and they create something that’s appropriate for marketing.

What is the team composition?

I work with Robert and Blake quite extensively when it comes to problems with our IT and systems. I also work with Dwayne when something doesn’t run.

How did you come to work with Purple Tie Guys?

I met them before they were Purple Tie Guys. They were focusing mostly on IT then, in 2002. They assisted in moving practices from one or two computers upfront to fully integrating practice management and electronic health records and network installation.

For the past several years, they’ve focused mainly on marketing. I’ve talked to some other folks they’ve dealt with and they’ve been extremely happy with their marketing work.

How much have you invested with them?

I’ve spent just about $100,000 with them over the years.

What is the status of this engagement?

We’ve been working with them in one capacity or another since May 2002.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

They do an outstanding job of helping people grow their businesses. We’re very picky with who we do business with because of the federal and state liability issues to us, so, in terms of actual leads, they’ve probably generated around 12–15 a year.

How did Purple Tie Guys perform from a project management standpoint?

When I text or call them, I get a response in less than an hour, if not immediately. I interact with them 2–3 times per week on a regular basis.

What did you find most impressive about them?

What I like most is their two-way communication; it’s always open. They’re equally willing to listen to you and tell you if something isn’t going to work. I’ve found them not only to be very, very, talented but also to be the most reliable company I’ve ever dealt with. They’re not only great to their clients, but they’ve also done business with a number of our clients. We’ve been able to recommend them.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I wouldn’t be referring my clients to them if I didn’t expect that they would be 110% satisfied.
