PR & Digital Marketing for Professional Lighting Company
“There’s a lot of trust there. I’ve taken many leaps of faith with them, and they’ve always paid off.”

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the director of marketing at Luminii. We’re a Chicago-based professional lighting company.
What challenge were you trying to address with W. BRADFORD?
In 2019, our company went through two acquisitions that poised us for dramatic growth. We suddenly expanded into a robust, global organization, but I was still the sole internal marketer. I needed to create an external team that could help me build a true marketing program.
What was the scope of their involvement?
W. BRADFORD is actively engaged with our company, supporting me on PR, social media, and a blog. Generally speaking, they also take part in all of the core aspects of product launches, from the product positioning and messaging to the videos and campaigns themselves. They’re really looking to define unique ways that would help us stand out in a crowded industry.
What is the team composition?
It depends on the type of project we’re doing. W. BRADFORD is a small boutique agency, so I work with about 3–4 people on average. That’s exactly what I need for our daily work. But, if we need a video done, then the team will be more robust because they’re adding on a video team.
How did you come to work with W. BRADFORD?
I met Will (President & CEO) by happenstance while we were both working at different companies. His company was deemed our PR agency then, so I got to know Will and his work there. Eventually, when he went off and formed W. BRADFORD, I followed him.
We’ve been working together for several years, now, and he’s a dear friend of mine, too. It’s important to have that kind of record to do what we’re doing in marketing.
How much have you invested with them?
It’s different now that we’re in COVID-19. Everyone is under a lot of strain, and we’re not spending as robustly as I’d like to be. I’d say it’s been a little under $100,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
At Luminii, we’ve worked together since January 2019, but I’ve worked with them for at least three years, now.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
The stats are incredible. Not only have they had to build a name for us, but they’re also promoting our company during a global pandemic. Despite that, we’re actually seeing consistent growth month over month and are breaking records.
The team refuses to be stifled by the stress of COVID-19, which speaks a lot to who they are and their tenacity. That’s reflected in the results we see during our monthly reports. Our board is happy with our social and web activity.
How did W. BRADFORD perform from a project management standpoint?
They’re a fabulous team that actually keeps me organized. I rarely find an agency where I’m not doing some of the handholding or managing, which is not an option when I’m the leader of the company and am being pulled in so many directions.
W. BRADFORD stepped up to be more of a partner. I know that they’ve got my back and are making smart, informed decisions. They’re not waiting for me to tell them what to do, which alleviates a lot of my pain.
What did you find most impressive about them?
I’m a strategist, so it’s important for me to have a strategic partner that can think outside of the box. We have a philosophy where we don’t compare ourselves to others. Yes, we’ll look at things competitively, but we’re not going to just market ourselves a certain way because our competitors have set the standard for that.
Will and I have done award-winning work together in the past precisely because we aim for what makes sense to us. It’s an intuitiveness that W. BRADFORD brings to the market, so there’s a lot of trust there. I’ve taken many leaps of faith with them, and they’ve always paid off.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, there aren’t any ongoing issues that need to be resolved. We all have our good and bad days. If something comes up, we let them know, and they fix it.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
They’re a fabulous partner for small- to medium-sized companies. If you want a team that’s intimate and will care about your outcome, then go with W. BRADFORD. They’re just as invested as you are in your project.

I’m the owner of a small law firm. We specialize in working with small businesses and startups as their legal advisor.

I’d originally created my own website. Our business had grown to the point where it made sense to bring in an expert to redesign it.
What was the scope of their involvement?
The owner, Will (Founder & CEO) and his team executed a full overhaul of my website. They implemented both the design and deployment of the Wix platform.
What is the team composition?
Will was my primary point of contact, but I worked with 2–3 teammates.
How did you come to work with W. Bradford?

We spent between $5,000–$10,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
The project began in August 2019 and wrapped up in May of 2020.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
My new website has received stellar feedback, and my clients have indicated that it’s very user-friendly. Will listened to my needs and designed a legal website that’s compelling, unlike your stereotypical one that’s more sterile. I really appreciated that the team worked diligently to deliver something that’s different and unique.
How did W. Bradford perform from a project management standpoint?
They did a great job. They were always available either by text or phone. We were always kept up to date about project progress.

Are there any areas they could improve?
No, I can’t think of anything.

You’ll be in excellent hands. You can feel comfortable investing in a provider that really knows what they’re doing.

Branding for Content Marketing Agency
"They spent a lot of time ... really understanding who we are, and that translated into the final design."

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
My name is Lauren Fairbanks. I am the co-founder and CEO of a content marketing agency.
What challenge were you trying to address with W. Bradford & Co.?
The key challenge was developing a cohesive brand identity. There was a disconnect between the agency’s digital presence and the message we wanted to convey. Brand design had previously been done in-house, but we needed help translating the vision for the agency into something new and fresh.
What was the scope of their involvement?
First they held a couple of exploratory sessions to learn about the agency. W. Bradford spent a lot of time getting to know the brand, services, client base, and the kinds of clients that we wanted to reach in the future.
They designed a new logo. They created custom widgets and icons, as well as digital assets for social profiles.
The team provided a branding guide for the website, which we chose to build out in-house. The guide included icons, fonts, and other design ideas. They also provided designs suggestions for new business cards.
How did you come to work with W. Bradford & Co.?
I met Will [Sears, CEO, W. Bradford & Co.] previously when he worked for another company. I reached out to reconnect, and I loved his ideas for the brand.
I’d spoken to a couple of other design firms, but felt that W. Bradford best understood the agency and would do a good job.
How much have you invested with them?
We spent a little over $5,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
Work began in October of 2017 and took about 4–6 weeks.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Before the redesign, the contact form on our website was rarely used. Since relaunch, we’ve already received three leads for new clients.
Feedback has been extremely positive from current clients and internal staff. The look and feel of the new site inspires confidence in the agency, its brand, and capabilities.
How did W. Bradford & Co. perform from a project management standpoint?
They were extremely responsive, always answering questions within a few hours. The team was in constant contact; they did a remarkable job staying on top of deadlines and the overall project timeline.
What did you find most impressive about them?
I was really impressed by the time and effort they put into understanding the agency’s existing brand. Additionally, their designs are cool and unique.
The whole process was enjoyable. It was like working with a friend.

I’m the pastor of a church.
What challenge were you trying to address with W. BRADFORD?
We needed a website, logo, letterhead, and upgrade of our Facebook page.
What was the scope of their involvement?
W. BRADFORD gathered information on the history of the church and our town. Then, their team used those details to create a Squarespace website for the church. They also created our logo and branded our Facebook.

There were a couple of people working on the website and branding efforts, but most of my interaction was with the owner.
